  • Interminttent horn

    Hi again folks,
My car horn is acting up. 3/5 times it has not sounded when pressed; I assume a loose connection on the steering wheel but I don't really want to start taking it apart because of the airbag.
The car has had a long list of faults since new and all have been fixed by Citroen thus far, but the last warranty claim is still be argued for a returning problem with the paintwork and the garage had refused to look into a new issue while this other claim is ongoing because they were "fully booked". (I normally assume this happens from day to day rather than forever fully booked?!)

Anyone have any suggestions or had this problem with the car horn before? I could also be that i'm just not pressing it right... but how hard can it be?

hi, i had problems with my horn too. i replaced the horn for one in second hand and itīs been ok. the other one sometimes doesnīt play at all when i pressed the wheel, or when it playīs, if i keep the wheel pressed for too long the sound of the horn startīs strong but then fade away and stopīs playing. so i decided to replaced the horn. here ( portugal ) cost me 5 euros. i did the work.

It's not an instant or where I press when I want it to beep at people

More often than not it does nothing and then its too late to bother beeping.
