  • Turbo...

After speaking to a mechanic on my street about a few problems im having with my car, i lifted the bonnet and he instantly pointed at my turbo and said it looks f****d!? There black dusty bulid up around it and he said its carbon or something, possibly had a blocked dpf in past and caused it....looking at my paperwork from previous owner and guess what YEP was in for dpf problems!! He said my turbos leaking aswell and to go into citroen requesting a new turbo and either the dpf cleaned or replaced also while warrenty is valid still! One thing after another...

There's no gasket manifold to turbo so soon as the Dpf becomes clogged, gases creep past this joint and soot the whole thing up.

If the previous owner had the dpf work done at Citroen they should've checked for that shouldn't they ?

Ohh man!! my warranty is over on 10th october and so far citroen haven't been the best at rectifying my problems! It still seems to pull so the turbo isn't fully broken but the bloke who pointed it out to me did say its leaking so maybe i do need it replacing.
I think all citroen did was do a forced regen on the car and thats it but now its starting to soot up, since ive owned the car its never had any error messages on the dash for the dpf?!
