  • not the foggiest tbh. theres the pcv pipe solution , tensioner solution/timing chain, apart from a new engine which a few THP and racing owners here have had.

    • Welcome to the club.. >.< I had my engine replaced a couple thousand miles ago due to a similar problem.

IMHO. Take it back and find a better car.

        • Before buying this car i drove the HDi 90, HDi 110 and the VTi 120. None of them work for me, so i'm keen on fixing this one or buying another one that works.

I'm wondering how long before the engine blows? )

            • I drove a 90hp DS3 and i don't like the feeling of the clutch. I'll soon find out how can i get the car back.

The funny thing is that i bought this car as a used car, with 9.100 miles on the clock. I think that European legislation states that if you go back to the warranty 3 times for the same fault they have to replace it! Is that right?

PS: What are the pcv pipes?

Don't have a clue about rights of rejection under Romanian law, but I very much doubt that you could reject a car bought 2nd-hand in the same way that you could reject one that you bought new.

This is UK... pretty sure its European law as well.

but if its not fit for purpose you have every right to reject it.

                    • The car has been first registered on the 3rd of October 2010. So it's 1 year old.

I ask again... what are the pcv pipes?

                      • basically pipes that allow air to flow from part of the engine to another part lol but instead of air its sucking oil and making the engine detonate causing blown piston rings and compression loss as the problem dangerousfish had

                        • DO you know the number/link to the pcv pipes? I'm going to the dealership on the 29th.

                            • Great, thanks. So if i have oil around the spark plugs, i need to replace the pcv pipe. If the timing is off.. well.. replace the timing.
