  • Heater/Air Con + Switches Illumination

Jump in car. Pitch black, switch on headlights, go to press De-Mist switch but nothing is illuminated ?? Switches + the Aircon dials only illuminate when the fan is switched on ?? Is this another quirk of the DS3 ?? Surely they should illuminate as soon as the headlights are switched on ???? But there again Im not French.

    Cheers

Mine illuminate as soon as the lights are switched on. Similar thing happened to my ex's clio and it turned out to be a blown fuse.

Ill check but the fact they illuminate as soon as the fan is switched on would suggest the fuse that covers interior lighting is fine. Odd !

Is this something to do with the 'dark' mode (set via the stereo head unit) ?

Mine are the same as I discovered tonight. Only when the fan is off though. Must turn the system off. My Ford Kuga did the same thing via a button cunningly labelled On/Off

Seems a strange design. Trying to switch on the fan in the dark so that everything lights up .......
I know the easy option (before anyone says it) is to leave the fan on ........ but Im fanphobic !

Leave it on Auto, apart from maybe 5 mins when you first start up, you'll barely hear it.
