Has this only been admired in the racing or all thp engines? Doesthis mean we can buy second gen pistons to rebuild the engine and possibly work outvcheaper than forge pistons?

Agree with Gaz- and any idea when the second generation pistons have been introduced from Rag...?

I got this pic from someone who got it from someon who got it from the bottomless Internet

I do not know anything more about this than it confirms PSA is full of $h!t.

Should have kept Liam's busted one. Improvement looks good, ever hopeful they will resolve the issues.

Of course not. It's a PSA scam. They knew they screwed with THP and decided to fix the issue quietly.

Do you guys think that oil consumption might be an indicator for a defective piston ? Oil seeping trough and burning in the cilinder ?

My THP would constantly burn through fuel, I know a few others had the same with theirs too.

i had an astra that burnt oil like billyo, had to scrap it in the end as it would have required a rebuild to resolve, Im assuming this is the same kind of problem... Gutting

Then its probably just the PCV eating oil.

Im quite spooked about the engine failures. I was thinking about remaping mine, but im quite hesitant and worrying even driving the unmaped. I was quite surprised when i saw a Racing on mobile.de with 80.000 miles on it.
