I get a low humming noise after the ignition is switched off, this kept going for around five minutes or so? I know about the airbag deactivation after two minutes so its not that and ignition key is off so this confuses me, could it be the alarm? or pressure release somewhere?

Most likely the Electric Turbo Cooling pump if yours is a THP engine.
Is it coming from the front of the engine/front grill? -
