Climate Control

My DS3 has the old style heater controls installed on it (3 dials) and have noticed on eBay that there are some climate control units for sale.
Does anyone know if the climate control display unit can replace the old style knobs without any additional parts (old one out, new one in) or if its a bit of a rewiring nightmare which is probably best avoided?

I believe that Climate Control is a different system to the basic a/c set up that uses the 'old style' controls.

I should imagine that a retro fit would be a nightmare - for example the air recirculation control is by a lever on the basic a/c, but push button (electric servo) with CC.
You will also be lacking interior temperature sensors and so on......

It's a nice idea but there is far much more involved than a simple swap, sorry.
