    Agreed- bigger calipers and pads are better- but very costly
    Dont think the drilled and grooved pads will increase braking, but if the disc cool down a bit quicker, you wont get the spongy feel when theyre red hot, so often.
    Thats gotta be worth it

        Thanks Nuts- may well do when my mid March service comes round- as thinking upgrading (In some way) brakes
        He is a zillion miles away from me tho- other end of England, in Cumbria Ha! Sussex coast me- cant get further South other than Isle of Wight and Cornwall.

        Cant really pop round to get my brakes sorted, but certainly thanks for the info

          Yes I agree he is at the other end of the world to you but Ian can talk you through compounds and then make them up for your application and then mail order

          This includes disc types as well

                    Rocket- not due up till the spring- lot better than carrots LOL

                    If its the THP yer after- fine, both before and since they sorted the bunged up inlet valves.
                    Timing chain rattles a bit, but no problem so far, and noise goes in less than a minute- reckon its lubing up

                    Hows the smokey old weasel Tug Boat?

                      40K up soon and still chuggin along numerous raids into Europe last year and hopefully a run down to Misano in Italy this year only downside after the mods it eats front tires but hey ho ..................zero road tax and still 60 mpg bit boring really lol

                                I had the rubbing sounds as well. But not anymore since I replaced the pads with greenstuff on all 4 wheels. Although now the rear pad(s) stick a bit when parking (using parking brake). Hear a loudish "bang" when driving off when the pads become loose again.
