  • Interior light unit

My interior light unit flickers when i switch the centre rocker from side to side, so i thought the bulb was on its way out, so i got some LED lights for it.
Even with the LEDs it still flickers and doesn't come on when door is opened as its supposed to. Any ideas?
Do i need a new light unit, its still under Guarantee, do i just tell the local Citroen garage and get them to change the unit?

Edit: Just to clarify, it does not come on at all, unless i switch it rapidly, the 2 side ones come on fine

I'd get your dealer to look at it as you're still in warranty.

The rocker switch is dodgy. I had an issue a while back that the light wouldn't come on when door was open. So I touched the switch and the light came on and it still seems a bit touchy about the rocker position. No warranty for me so fingers crossed it works...

Update: Just back from the dealers and because they found the LED Bulbs in the unit, they say that as it is non standard equipment, the warranty wont cover the price of the new unit, so had to pay £20 for them to get a new one in.
Tried telling them that it was like that before and I changed the bulbs to try and fix it, they said "Tough" basically, also when i rang last week, I explained this to the guy i spoke to, he booked me in for 2pm Today, turn up and they have no record of the appointment

That's really bad treatment in my opinion. Don't see how LEDs should void the warranty, not going to cause damage... All they had to do was try a normal bulb and see if the fault condition was still present.

They put a normal bulb in and was still showing the fault, but they say that inserting the LED bulb could have caused the problem, will be using the Dealer in Milton Keynes after the Northampton one have changed the unit for me
