Rusty Pivot Pins - at least I think that's what they are!

I was feeling suitably impressed today in the rain by my auto wipers... never had them before and so paying more attention to them than I probably should.... they had a slight wobbly moment when they went super-fast as though cyclone Pam had hit Worcestershire without warning, but apart from that they seemed to know what they were doing. But then suddenly something catches my eye....... is that rust I see?!!!! Now I think they are pivot pins (according to google images) but each one on my wipers is staring back at me as rusty as my old garden chairs! Anyone else got rusty pivot pins?! I've only had it 12 days!

Yes I`ve noticed that on mine !
It was the same with my C3 Picasso and as with them I painted the ends of the pins with some touch up paint you`d think they would be of a better quality if not Stainless Steel

This is quite common and not just on Citroen's but on most marques.

Mine has it as well, was surprised but every ds3 I looked at had the same issue.

Mine has rust on the pins too.

Yep mine has this too, I was thinking of some touch up paint on them at the weekend too
