The arguement with Audi's was that they dimmed the DRL's when the headlights came on.
Now it seems to be that they should not be on at all?
So all Audi's are breaking the law?

NO Audi's don't break the law 'because they dim' the DRL LED's. They are then classed as the 'Front Side Lights' and the brightness will be the maximum allowed for side lights.

Lets ingore the legal issue for the mintute the other issue is going to be warranty. Anyone turning up at their Citroen dealer with this modifcation will have invaildated the warranty with they car by fiddling with the ECU (in the same way as remapping) and the dealer is well within their right to refuse to work on the car.

By the way there was an interesting artical in a trade mag where a manufactor took a customer to court, the guy remapped his car and then tried to claim warranty work, for trying to obtain services by deception. The manufactor won costs from the customer proving that he had the car remapped with an court order to search the remappers invoice records after the dealer found a dyno graph in the car.

Again I seem to be the harbringer of bad news but I need to make sure you guys know what you are getting involed with.
