Cooling fan stayed on after stopping engine

Has anyone else had this?

115 eHDI, pulled up outside house after a short run, switched off engine but cooling fan kicked in and stayed on for around 5 mins after engine off. Got impatient and switched engine back on and it stopped after 30 sec.

Yes mine does the same, not sure why but it goes off eventually

DPF regeneration maybe?

Switching off ignition during regen makes the fans stay on to cool exhaust down.

Yeah it's deffo a regen, mine has done that once or twice too. I've had lots of long runs recently so I suspect the regens have been happening during those drives.....
