  • THP overheating

Hi, I'm not very mechanically minded and would appreciate some help.

I have been having problems in the last couple of days with 'overheating'. I have got the STOP light come on and on stopping, it goes away again. Today I noticed that the temp needle was fluctuating wildly, i.e. would zoom into red but them quickly come back to the middle just by me slowing down.

That seemed unlikely that do would heat and cool so rapidly but a stated, I'm not a petrol head by any means.

Question is: what should I check and has anyone else experienced this.

Car is 2011 150 THP, had a new engine in about a year ago when piston failed and Citreon deemed it uneconomic a to repair. I don't drive it really hard with the odd sprint on the back roads when no-one is around.

    Any suggestions gratefully received!

    Thanks in advance

Coolant is empty though it was ok a week or so ago. I didn't think to check that as it was such a short time ago. Seems I may have a leak!
