  • Snapped spring!!!! *Big sad face*

Hi guys. My nearside spring snapped at the top on my 10 plate ds3. Now...I'm guessing a Shouldn't really be driving it. But it was only half a turn. Horse shoe shape bit.....
Plus....are the springs that get out on steelie models different to those put on bellone? As mine was originally steelies but it was upgraded to bellones and shiny bits.
Any help/ advice woukd be amazing plus can't decide whether to do like dor like ir just pop some sneaky new coil overs in.

    TIA!

If you have the cash for them I'd go for the coilovers, the DS3 looks much better with some sympathetic lowering and the ride is much improved as I understand it

I was wanting to decrease the gap just enough ao i don't have to get the arches rolled. 15mm? Improved ride? Hmmm not convinced it will improve. Its a stiff ride as it it with LP tyres and stock stiff springs!

You can lower a ds3 way way down without having to roll the arches, in fact probably put it on the ground without doing it. Lots of folks running around 45+ down no issues. Improved well yes and no, expect to be a bit harsher but handling, stability, turn in all improved. Have heard some complaints about the car wandering with sudden hard braking at high speed and after lowering not there anymore.

You could always go Barry Boy and cut the other 3 No don't actually do that.
