  • Engine Hesitant - P1339 Fault Code (Misfire Cylinder 3)

    Hi Peeps

    I have a 2010 DS3 Sport THP 150

    It is hesitating/shuddering a little especially at higher speeds

    The Fault Code P1339 is being displayed by the engine diagnostics, which is apparently 'Misfire - Cylinder 3'

    I've changed all the spark plugs (NGK used)
    I've Changed all the ignition Coils (Bosch used)
    I've cleared the fault code

    The hesitancy / fault code however, persist

    Any ideas? its wrecking my noodle!

    Coked up valves and or HPFP?

      Hpfp I reckon, to confirm log the fuel pressure whilst driving
      White on red THP
      Miltek exhaust with HKS highflow cat, Forge intercooler, hard pipe kit, induction kit, oil catch tank, , VAG BOV, Stage 3 SPT remap 217 BHP

        Out of sheer ignorance-can I ask, would HPFP failure not manifest itself across all cylinders? Or does each cylinder have it's own HPFP?

          There is only one high pressure fuel pump and one would think logically that it would happen to all the cylinders but in that pesky real world could be one or any number of cylinders logging the issue. Would say as it gets worse more cylinders will be affected. That is if it even is the pump!

            Had misfires on all 4 cylinders in mine recently, and this code was one of them (Search?)
            HPFP replaced.... oh.... and ECU... oh ... and injectors messed around with.

              Hi Chris...was the issue resolved in the end, or was it attributed to any one of these items?

                Yep- sorted under warranty. They said the low revs issue was an ECU issue, and the higher revs was the HPFP
                So yours may well be HPFP

                Mines been fine the last 1000 miles, in fact a bit smoother

                Have you tried running some BG44K or equivalent cleaner though- may help (Wont do the inlet valves tho, but may help injectors)
