  • gear knob replacement?

    hi folks, how do i go about replacing my gearknob without breaking something? is it straight forward?

    Pretty sure it just pulls off (waheey). Just be careful not to hit yourself in the face, lol.

        I'm sure Wes pulled his off in the car and was very pleased with the results. He took a firm hold and pulled it up and down until it released itself....

        I don't think he used any oil or anything to lubricate it before starting.....

          There's nothing like a good tug but make sure you don't pull too hard and mark the roof!

            Yeah a little bit of 'grease' on the cloth can be tricky to remove without leaving a white mark....

              I hurt my hand. Bit was worth it when I'd finished. Very satisfying.

              I basically twisted and pulled. Clipped the cable tie and replaced with an original Atari Joystick!

                Did you find that pulling it off left handed felt different to normal Wes ?

                    Ha ha snigger.....

                    Wes knows all the tricks for a firm grip on the shaft, the trigger head ensures he doesn't come off the end
