Just noticed this when washing my car tonight. Along the length of the body both sides.

This is just a paint defect right?

No mate they are all like that mate this is along the bottom. Of the sills its some kind of protection

Looks like a form of "under seal / mastic" for stone chip protection. It is softer than paint so should not chip when a stone flicked from a tyre doesn't do any damage.
