  • Audio failed

I took my ds3 dsport plus in for its service and when it was returned the audio system doesn't work. The audio option within the menu is greyed out, none of the buttons work and I cannot connect my Bluetooth

It's via my company lease so they won't look at it for a fortnight, so not happy...

But I wondered if this was something that has been seen before and has a quick fix?

This might sound really, really stupid, but it's a mistake I made when I picked mine up from its service and it was doing the same thing...

You have turned the radio on haven't you? You need to press the volume control button in.

Doesn't sound stupid at all as that was my first thought. I have pressed and held in the volume button for at least 10 secs on numerous occasions and it doesn't respond so afraid not

Then utterly bizarrely it has started working. Opened the glove box to look at the fuses and it started to function. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it's an intermittent fault

If you can bend a wire coat hanger, you should be able to remove the head unit. Might be worth doing to ensure it's not been disconnected (although I can't imagine a reason they'd need to take it out for your service).
