  • car STILL in garage!!

Well it’s now about a month that the garage has had my car. They have done nothing to it at the moment as they are awaiting a part from Citroën which has been on backorder. The part was due to arrive last Friday but never arrived so now it is classed as Postponed.

All it is is a small seal for a coolant pipe that has leaked causing the car to go tits up. Now i (eventually) got a courtesy car from them (a really shitty 1.4 petrol C3) which has atrocious fuel consumption and as much power as an asthmatic rat. I have to insure it myself which is costing me £20 per week!!!!!

Now they say the part has no longer got an ETA and tbh while the garage can’t really do much, it’s really f**king RIDUCULOUS that Citroën don’t have this part (although they can still build cars no problem???).

Does anyone know if i can claim compensation from Citroen at all? I am paying about £300 per month for a car that is sitting at a garage doing nothing due to their build fault.

I have really liked my car, but tbh, I don’t think I will ever buy Citroen again because of this (unless things change in the VERY near future!)

Hi, i would phone customer relations and give them hell, also make sure the parts dept have rasied this with Citroen also and make sure they have orded the part on VOR . The more you shout at Citroen it helps push the part on Citroen listen to the customer more than the dealer Ive had 10 years on this were a citroen garage.

    Hope this helps

      Agreed.

This looks more like a supply issue with Citroen rather than your dealer. As John says speak with Customer relations and get them to poke sticks at Citroen to supply the missing part faster and see if they will pay the courtstey charges as goodwill. Also find out if the garage has another model like your which they could 'borrow' the part from.

does anyone have the number for citroen customer services? The garage have been great - just spoke to them and while they have no eta, they have now decided to place the courtesy car on their insurance rather than mine. If its going to be much longer, i will ask them to use a part from one of their cars (seeing as they all use the same part anyway!)
