  • Fitting my Sub

Hey, Ive had my DS3 now for six months.
My previous car had a BaseFace with a Kenwood Amp.
There seems to be different suggestion on how to install. I was wondering what were your suggestions... Many Thanks in advance

    Welcome to the club

Which model DS3 do you have? Do you have the HiFi pack? (this includes a small sub).

        Different how?

Are you planning on using the same head unit? If so, you should simply need a signal wire and your speaker output wires from the head unit and a source or power for the amp.

If you're looking to retain functionality from your hand controls too you'll need to look at purchasing a connects2 adapter.

It shouldn't be. If you're keeping the headunit then it should be almost the exact same steps to get it all reconnected again.

Here's a few guides to get you started:

I don't think that will fit, overhang looks too much.

I thought you already had a head unit?

Yeah just a general factory one. Slight overhang ok, as its detachable when not in use

What functionality do you need that the factory head unit doesn't provide?

I think the shape of the dash will prevent that eBay one fitting correctly.
