  • Throttle issue

    Hey,

anyone experienced failure of throttle body / throttle position sensor? I get code P3030 "throttle stuck" etc.

Car idles almost normally, ocassionally sputter and fluctuating revs. Pressing throttle pedal does nothing, revs go up to max 2.5k, and car is completely powerless.
    Max speed around 50km/h

Is TPS integrated into throttle body and the whole part has to be replaced? Or is it possible to just replace TPS?
Pedal sensor seems fine, at least based on measured voltages.

On the DS3 the TPS is electronically driven, it's just a wire so check for any snagging on the wires behind the pedals and beyond.

I am afraid the sh!ts is in wiring... Just love if there is a wire that has broken inside the plastic shield.

Only reason I know this is from when I had my NOS kit, I wired the TPS to the module for the NOS so that it was only live when my foot was past the kick-down.

        Good luck!

Think it would solve it? Turn off, pedal to the metal, turn on, release?

No, with diagnostic tool. Same process as when you fit a new one...

Ah, it's probably in the adaptation section. Gotta try that out, thanks a lot

I heard that yesterday whole day and today in the morning it had worked fine and then suddenly again doesn't work. Must be something with the wiring? A broken throttle body would not work at all, right?

To share knowledge, throttle body was replaced and car works fine. So if anyone else experience judder on low load and throttle related codes it is most likely throttle body
