  • Esp/asr intermittent fault

Hi all this is my first post to the group and sadly its not to praise my ownership of my ds3(3 months)

To start with I absolutely loved the car when i first got it, however not far down the line I have this little predicament!

Esp/asr fault light after about 3 minutes of driving including warning sound, the warning goes off sometimes once, sometimes its 3 times in quick succession
with noticeable loss of power. But acceleration can be incredibly lumpy, almost like I am being cack handed with the clutch (which i'm not lol).
I have looked at a similar thread already on the forum regarding esp/asr faults but I am not sure what to do next

    2011 ds3 sport hdi 1.6

    Cheers
    Graham

This happened to me on my first DS3 - http://www.ds3club.co.uk/showthread....SP%2FASR+Fault

Not sure if this is the same as your fault though as I understand that message covers a multitude of fault types

If the car's only three months old, best bet would be to get it back to the garage you bought it from to get them to investigate.

Chances are, if you're seeing an error message a fault code will be logged to the ECU. These fault codes should give the garage a better indication of what's causing your issues.

      Best of luck!

Give them a chance to rectify it before you put it through a wall, it could well be something very simple that only takes a few minutes to fix.

I appreciate it's an inconvenience, unfortunately that's life for many car owners not just Citroen ones.

The fix for mine was supposedly very simple for the dealer
