  • brake disc and pads

hello everyone. this week i took my ds3 to do the 60 000 km review.
it was all ok but the mechanic said to me that i need to change the brake pads and discs.
i think: or he's crazy or he is trying to fool me. i did not change nothing.
my pads with 30 000 km are new! ok, my discs have 1,5 or 2mm rim ( edge ) i donīt know the right word! ( iīm portuguese ).
i will post the pictures! do you think i should change the discs and pads beacause these 2mm?
    thanks.

The Citroen disks have a wear limit of 2mm. So 2mm less than original thickness. Ask the mechanic to show you the measurement of what they are now and the original thickness for whatever sized disk that are on your car (this is in the repair manual). All black and white. He should be more than happy to do this if they are really bad.

TAROX Japan (Drilled and grooved) discs are 200ish each, and wonder if they are any better than usual run of the mill stuff?
TAROX brake pads Ģ60 a set too.

Might even fit them myself, don't seem too hard.
