  • Ds3 THP built on a Blue Monday!

I have never ever experienced soo many problems with a car like my new ds3 THP 155 sport.

The day i bought my car, the engine light came on. I took it to the Citroen Dealership. They detected that my car was running too cold.

Living in Cape Town South Africa, alot of my parts had to be imported from France.

First Listed, is what parts were replaced to fix this problem.

    1. Timing Chain.
    2. thermostat
    3. HP fuel pump.
    4. Outlet Tank.

This took about 4 weeks to complete.

The worst part is, while doing this repairs, and setting the timing of the car, one of Citroen Technitions, started the car, which bent 8 exhaust valves. That meant that all valves and cylinder head and gaskets needed to be replaced.

    6. cylinder head

When i received the car on a friday, the sunday, without warning or slipping, my clutch packed up.
The monday i took the car back to Citroen.
it was diagnosed that i needed a new Clutch Kit and duel flywheel.

    Eventually it was fitted.

    8. Duel Flywheel

not even a week later, my radiator was leaking at the seems. And on top of my tappet cover by the fourth spark plug, it was leaking oil.

A new radiator was fitted, but Citroen found out that the breather box inside the tappet cover is leaking. Due to this being an oil leak, Citroen dont want to cover the Cost.

I am now having a big dispute with Citroen South Africa, saying that if Citroen never bent the valves, i would not be sitting with a tappet cover problem. they obviously had to take off the tappet cover to replace the gaskets and cylinder head.

Citroen claim that because this Tappet cover was not replaced when they fixed my valves, it does not carry a Citroen warranty.

    Kind Regards

Is there an Email i can take this to Citroen France to complain ?

    Kind Regards
