Since buying my used Citroen DS3 THP 150 in December 2014 it has suffered from the following problems:
Air conditioner compressor leak
High Pressure fuel pump failure #1
Stretched timing chain.
High pressure fuel pump failure #2
Inlet valve coking
Timing chain tensioner failure, timing chain slippage, bent valves and general top-end destruction.
Fuel pipe popped off the engine where it connects to the injector rail. Amazed car did not catch fire.
Tappet cover gasket oil leak.
Inlet valve coking again.
Electric water pump failure.
Radiator fan running constantly and for over 5 minutes after switching engine off leading to ruined battery.
Anti pollution fault this time cause by rear PCV pipe not being properly secured after cylinder head put back on after de-coking.
Total brake failure leading to accident. (put the front end of the car into a bollard)
Without doubt the worst car I have ever owned, and possibly the worst car I've ever heard of as well. Nothing works on this car, the build quality is horrendous; the dealer's ability to fix it: nonexistent.
Bear in mind that all of these problems occurred within only 6000 miles of driving.
What an amazing car. It has achieved a level of epic fail that makes a 1970's Lancia look like a paragon of reliability.
