Releasing the OBD socket

I can see that the OBD socket has some kind of release mechanism.

How does it work?

I would like to be able to mount an OBD reader permanently, but there is not enough room.

There is a clip on one side that can be manipulated with a flat head screwdriver.
Push the clip in towards the middle of the socket, while pushing the clip side of the socket inwards to the dashboard.
The socket should then be freed and floating around behind it's mounting point.

Be careful to only push in the side with the flexible clip, other side is rigid and should not be bent (too much)
