Hello all,
First post and we've not even bought a DS3 yet but wanted to pick your collective brains.
Test drive today - a 1.6 Dstyle plus diesel on a 13 plate with 13k miles on the clock. We test drove one a few weeks ago and even with higher miles the gear box seemed much sharper - far more positive. The car today felt a little like the much cliched 'spoon in custard'. I brought this up with the salesman who explained that the DS3 is a 'softer' gear change and that a 'tighter gearbox' is a sign of a worn gearbox. With my BS detector twitching I'd like to ask the following: Are DS3s known for gearbox 'softness' or other gear box faults ?
Thanks, Chris.
