Ds3 thp inlet valve clean out

Just been informed by Citroen mail dealer that my DS3 needs to have the inlet valves cleaned out and they want to charge me £750. So what I would like to know is would a Terraclean sort this problem.

If not, should I look for another garage to fix the problem cheaper?

Its on a 61 plate by the way. 80K Miles

Where are you based? I'm sure Jamie at SP Tuning is a lot cheaper than that.

I suspect Jamie would be a HUGE amount cheaper than that.

Terra clean may help but it will not be nearly as effective or last as long as a mechanical cleaning of the valves. Unfortunately that requires some disassembly to accomplish hence the higher cost. 750 seems a fairly high number. Like they said give SPTuning a call.

You mean the perfect distance to enjoy the extra bhp on the way back from the clean?

You might as well get a remap while you're there, I bet both would still be under the £750 you were quoted by Citroen.

A remap? On the THP, yes

They also told me the error code was C4 does that make sense?

Spoken to SP Tuning and quoted me £300 and said once done should have extra 30/40 hp. Did look at Terraclean but not convinced it's good for the long term.

You are closer to Jamie than I am and I will be making a trip for a walnut blast as soon as I get it booked in

A trip to Jamie's is definitely worth the effort and time, no matter what you're going for Jamie is the best !
