Very loud road noise.

When going above 25 in a straight line there is a loud humming coming from the front but when I turn the sound goes away. It sounds like a wheel bearing but the car has only done 36000 miles. Surely the shouldn't need replacing. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be.

I've got the same problem on my Vti 120 1.6 Dstyle plus which has also done 36k miles!
Dealer says wheel bearings on the front £267 each side!!!:mad:

Maybe a problem which Citroen would sort if my warranty hadn't run out!

Is that the installed price? surely not just parts unless it is for the complete hub assy and not just the bearing.

You will find that price 75% of that is for the dealers to fit the bearing take it to your local garage have it done there you will more than half that has a bearing is only around £45 / £50 mark
