Can you give us some more detail on the issue you're seeing ? Also it might help if you confirm the DS3 model you have. Have you looked at the 'Similar Threads' at the bottom of this page to see if anyone's had similar before as well ?

How much are you putting in? IIRC it doesn't update the gauge if you put in less than 5L.

The other thing I can think of is over-filling (filling past the 2nd click) can mess with the gauge too.

If it's not that then I'd get your dealer to check it out.

Can you not let it run (nearly) dry then refill to first click and see what happens? Sometimes the sensor in the tank gets messed up.

I know on the Clio's it can sometimes fail to register that you've filled it up at all, it'll just stay at empty on gauge. To fix it you open the door, stand on the sill and jump until it fixes itself.

I've not had this issue on mine, it might be because I always run it almost empty and then top it up....

As above, I'd try running the tank to almost empty, refill it and then repeat a couple of times to see if that fixes it

                  Wot he said!

If you run 'full to full' and use the trip meter to record your mileage between fill-ups like I do, it gives you the chance to calculate your actual fuel consumption instead of the wildly optimistic figure that the car's computer tells you.

Mine's a petrol, but I don't suppose the working of the fuel guage is any different. (Except that yours moves more slowly!!)

This. I use Fuelly to track mine, gives you accurate figures and nice graphs.

I agree that the forecast of mpg and expected miles from the tank is total fiction but the actual MPG it shows over the trip computer is pretty much spot on when I divide my miles by the amount of litres (converted back to gallons) shown on my fuel receipts.

Used to have this on Picassos. They required a software download. As suggested run it low and top it up a couple of times before asking the dealer.

Fixed itself now, drove over some bumps which rocked the car at the Boosted UK car meet yesterday!
