  • Active Cruise Control Radar

    Hi all,

while driving home from work tonight a message appeared briefly on my centre console:

"Active cruise control radar is dirty. Clean it"

I consider myself well and truly told off, however, looking in my car manual I can't find any mention of an active cruise control radar. Am I right in thinking it is the sensor on the centre of the windscreen? If so, I guess it's just a case of my giving the windscreen a quick clean?

I hate it when my car tells me off like that but I'm not surprised it's dirty given the weather we've had this week.

    TIA

Yeah it's the sensor behind your mirror, the one with 'Active City Brake' on I believe.

Mine does it all the time when it's raining. The unit gets misted up so just give the windscreen demister a quick blast and it should sort it.
