2015 DS3 reverse gear problem

I have a 65 reg Dsign, when trying to engage reverse it doesn't always engage first time. I took the car back to the dealership
for them to look at it, and then said to wait 3 seconds before selecting reverse as it doesn't have a reverse break. However
after waiting 3 seconds the car is still having issues with reverse.

Anyone know what it could be?

Most citroens I've driven are similar. Usually this will sort it: Press clutch, put it in neutral, release clutch, wait a second, press clutch, engage reverse and away you go.

Must be a French thing. My Clio does the same and Beef's method works with mine.

My 2013 DSign does the same. You can pull the gearstick into reverse and the reversing light will come on but the gear won't fully engage. Releasing and reengaging the clutch as BeefMasta explained fixes it.

Or: put it in first, then immediately to reverse or with clutch up in between.
