  • Strange wheel noise.

I've noticed a noise coming from my driver's side front wheel. The only noise I can liken it to is that it sounds like I'm constantly driving on a wet road. I don't know if it's coming from any other wheels but it's noticeable at all speeds.

Just wondering if anyone would be able give me any idea of what it might be. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about. The car's only 2 months old so I'll probably take it into the dealership in the new year.

Dumb question but its not something stuck in the tread is it?

Yeah, sometimes small stones/gravel make a sound similar to the wet tarmac, hopefully it's that rather than a nail/screw

No, nothing in the tyre. It's a constant noise that sounds the same at all speeds not the sort of clicking noise you'd get when something's stuck. Really odd.

Ahh. Probably a dealer job to get the wheel off and check bearings etc.

Nothing obviously stuck inside the wheel etc? Leaves, mud, a cat?

Jack the car up and spin the wheel to see if noise is still there. definitely sounds like something stuck in the tread .
