  • Fuel gauge/pump leaking after removal of reassembling

    Hi all

I am beginning to hate this car

in line with me mounting webasto water heater, and drilling into til wire loom and all, now the fule cell er leaking around the fuel gauge/pump assemblé.

The Seal og lock nut is brand new but it did not help to stop the leak, now Citroen in Denmark is telling me that if the fule cell was not entirely empty the I first removed the pump assemble the fule cell can be warped and that I need to replace the entire fule cell.

Question, Does any body have any experience with this ?

Don't hate the car! Maybe you should stop messing with it and pay a pro to work on your car. Then just sit back and enjoy it the fruits of their guaranteed labor.

Mmm this is my problem with home mods and the like, I have to do loads of research before I attempt anything complicated, often this research makes me think that I shouldn't attempt the work on modern cars with so much tech and not much space

I'll stick to cosmetic stuff I think, I've even decided to pay a mechanic mate to replace my discs and pads as I don't have the time to do it myself and I don't want to mess it up. I've always done them myself up until the DS3
