  • 1.6 Diesel trying to pull in neutral ?

Hello everyone. Have got a 65 plate 1.6 HDi diesel, which I use for my driving instructors business. This is my second DS3, last one, no probs. New car has just 3.5 k on the clock. Finished lessons last night, started car to come home. Slight jerk forward, thought I'd left it in gear, but no, in neutral. Then, if I rev in neutral slight pull forwards. Made it the short distance home, will change gear and drive, but made a slight cog grinding noise as I moved off in first. Clutch pedal in normal position.
Dropped car into main dealers today, waiting for the dreaded phone call. Any initial ideas on what it might be ? Many thanks.
    Driving Instructor.

Sounds more like gearbox than clutch.

Gear Selector misaligned, clutch release bearing or as Dave says gearbox.
