  • Few engine problems..

    Hello guys!

Been having a few problems lately

Few engine problems. the fault codes i am getting are

P0014 - B Camshaft Position Timing Over - This showed up twice? my car has 3 fault codes this being number 1 + 3
    P0117 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -

Now I've had the engine Temperature sensor fault before took it to Citroen and they fixed it under warranty so i know how to fix that, the real problems i am
having is the fault p0014 I've looked through google and it looks fairly simple it's just a sensor that plugs into the top of the engine head?

can anyone help with a part that i need? or a part that i can buy that will replace that piece?

A quick google for: "P0014 VTI" turned up a lot of results on the mini and Peugeot forums, you look to be the first person to quote this fault code on here

I've had a quick scout through some of them but nothing in the first few links that would help you I'm afraid.

Have you contemplated giving Citroen a quick call to see if they could advise on the parts & location?

              I shall keep it updated!

after doing a long hard search on the internet ringing garages i have found out a few interesting things!

The thermostat housing and sensor is one part, according to google and this form http://www.ds3club.co.uk/showthread....y-month-or-two

The only thing i can't find ? is the actual part if i ring Citroen they will tell me exactly what part i need, they just wont give me a part number as I've had it replaced before?

This is the part i think it is

And this is the part I've managed to find on eBay can anyone tell me if they are the same part?

After a few days of looking up fault codes ringing garages and trying to get information!

I've got something on my mind?

I've found out a fault on my ds3

                P0014 - "B" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1)

The question is.. If I'm looking at the engine bay? which would be Bank 1? how can i identify Bank 1 And Bank 2?

Unless you have another row of cylinders Think V8 or V6 The as far as i am aware the is just the 1 bank. The bases of the software is flexable so it an be used on any number of different engines. So it shows the 2nd bank
