Hi
Some advice please.
2012 DS3 1.6 petrol with 36000 on clock, I lease it from Citroen having bought from Sportif Chalfont with 8000 on clock.
after 18 months rattle heard coming from engine, got fobbed off being told " its ok it stops when its warm.
March 2015, 3 months before warranty expired took back to garage, they had it 3 weeks, they ended up putting microphone in engine and send sound to specialist in France, response was Cam chain tensioners, replaced under warranty, both Technician and service manager said, it needs a new engine, nothing to do with cam chain, Citroen don't agree, you will be back within 12 months.
2 weeks ago very loud rattle developed, engine stripped by same dealer, found large crack in no3 piston which had damaged bore, garage say needs new engine!!!!
Trying to get citroen to replace engine under good will gesture, still waiting response.
The car has been serviced as per Citroen recommendations, im wondering what I should do if they wont fix it, its due to go back in August anyway, would emailing the CEO have any effect, don't see why I should pay £3k plus when its due to go back.
Any advice would be greatly received.
