  • Doors not closing properly

    Hi guys:

I've had one problem since I bought my DS3, the doors are not closing properly, and if you see them from the back of the car you can see that there is a space between the door and the chassis, also my alarm doesn't sound if I don'0t try to close the doors 2 or 3 times each. Does anybody knows how to regulate the doors?

    Thanks in advance.

Was your DS3 bought new ? If so is it still under warranty, I'd take it to the dealer to get that looked at....

If second hand is there a chance that the car has been in an accident ? I don't know if DS3 door positions are adjustable, if they are you might be able to do it diy (be careful doors are heavy, I changed the door on my wife's Corsa after some minor car park damage - but there was no adjustment in the Corsa door, it was on or off as far as I could tell).

If you have no warranty I'd try a local bodyshop and see if they can do anything for you for some beer money.

Let us know how you get on, good luck

Thanks for your advice, my car is new, but I don't like to go to the dealer because I like to make it all by myself (all that I can at least), I guess I have to go to them...

      Best regards.

Some would argue that the premium these cars carry is to cover the amount of times the car goes in for warranty work Might be easier to get your moneys worth.

^ ^ What they said! Also - I'd be wary of doing anything myself during the warranty period that could give any excuse for the warranty to be invalid if you need it.
