Passenger airbag light never goes out

Bought a DS3 last week and while we were on the test drive the passenger airbag light stayed on, when I got back I said to the salesman about it and he said that just meant that the passenger airbag was active. I saw a separate airbag warning light and that goes off when you start the car so thought that must have been right.
I've just seen a few post that say that light is supposed to go off after a 30ish seconds. This is the light
Is this supposed to go off?

This, the little #2 is the clue. It is explained in the handbook just so you know

FFS, sorry everyone. I did try turning it on and wasn't patient enough. Just tried it and waited longer and it's gone off. Cheers for your help
