  • Heater stuck on full blast

I just had some warranty work done as the electric mirror adjust was stuck and now 1 day on the heater fan is stuck on full blast . Luckily the temperature control still works or I'd cook/freeze!

A google search suggests it might be a fan regulator/resistor. I unfortunately bought the car an hours drive away and can only get back at a time they're open in 2 weeks.

Could anyone advise of an easy way to temporarily disable the air con/heater? Its driving me nuts!

Fusebox more than likely has one in it that you can remove to disable the heating for now. Check your manual for which number fuse it is.

Sorry I can't be of more use

Is there a different dealer closer to you? (you don't have to take it to the same one, even for warranty work)

Thanks guys. Unfortunately my warranty is not with Citroen as the car is second hand. Bought it with -3 days of manufacturer's warranty left

I did however get 3 months from the garage (Foster and Heanes). So far they've fixed everything I've thrown at them

Let us know what the fault was

Might help others at a later date.

I'll be sure to find out when I get it back

I'm dropping it off on Monday and will see what they say.

The car is going in today so I will let you know as soon as I do. I'm fairly sure it will either be the fan regulator/resistor for me.

As suspected. The resistor was replaced and the fan is back to normal.
