  • DS3 side trim coming off...again

The black plastic side trim that runs along my DS3 (under the driver's door) is coming off AGAIN
I had the clips replaced a little over a year ago and it seems they have failed again - seems such a shoddy design fault!
Has anyone on here ever had any success with glueing this trim back on? If so, what did you use?
    Thanks in advance

That's weird how it's coming off on its own. Maybe the trim in question has some manufacturing error. Are the clips broken or just loose/off?

They don't appear to be broken, but they don't clip back in. The dealer told me that the trim fills with gunk and the weight of that pulls the clips out (bit of a design flaw?!?).
Last time they took the whole trim off, cleaned it up and reclipped it with new(?) clips. As this has happened again so soon, I am looking for alternatives as I don't want to be repeating this process all the time!

Hi...Thanks for the reply. How much/what prep would be needed? And how long to dry? Would it be a permanent solution to this problem. Really appreciate any advice!

I used Sikaflex on mine, just on one section kept breaking clips. That's held up for over two years. Used a jack to keep enough pressure on the trim overnight while the glue set, could use bricks or anything really though.

i went through the same thing the other week, i bought a £4.75 roll of no nails double sided tape, cleaned the door surface and stuck it on seems pretty secure to me although im not sure how it will hold up to the weather
              i guess time will tell

but so far id recommend it (link below just incase):

Recently, I have purchased this model and faced the same issue with side trim. And tried a lot of gluing products but can’t stick it back, today I visited lab report writing service company for my job purpose where an employee told me to use products from this company and finally they resolved my problem.
