  • DS3 Super Knock Detection P1385

    Hi guys,

I've recently been having problems with my DS3 THP 150. I use Premium Shell Petrol and have had a walnut blast.

The issue is under acceleration, it sometimes seems to hesitate. Seems to lose power for a couple of seconds then back on it. Best analogy would be road runner when his legs are moving but going nowhere

I've put it on the Diagnostic Comp at work and its coming up wit the following errors.

    P1385 Super Knock Detention
P2339 Detection of Extreme Knock Cyl 4
P2338 Detection of Extreme Knock Cyl 3
P2337 Detection of Extreme Knock Cyl 2
P2336 Detection of Extreme Knock Cyl 1

Anybody have any ideas I've looked at a few options that include everything from inlet valves to a new turbo?

Thanks Chris, I've had a look at quite a few forum posts about the issue, but no one can seem to put a definite fix on it.

Do you know of any way to test the issues? As it's a case of what to start with?

          Thanks

Get it to someone who knows what they're doing and has the kit.
Get it sorted ASAP though, you don't want to be rebuilding your engine.

I had 1385 and cylinder 4 fault codes, and they started with switching the injectors, then there hpfp, and then the ECU.

It sounds like fuel starvation, or irregular burn to me, but am no expert

James is .... ^ ^ ^ best take his advice

Thanks Jamie, would it be caused by anything in particular?

                Thanks

If only diagnosing a major engine fault could be as easy as coming on a forum
Misfire in the THP engine could be a myriad of things
Best you will get on a Forum, is a list of possibles

What was my fault, may not be yours
                    Good luck

As said above, with something as expensive as the engine you really need to bite the bullet and get it looked at by someone with Citroen experience, either Jamie at SP Tuning or your local dealer... If I lived closer to Jamie I'd take mine to him for everything

                        Good luck
