Rattling noise from engine...

Hi,

I have a 155 THP 13 plate and I've noticed recently when I turn my engine on it makes the usual glorious noise as well as a kind of rattling noise coming from the engine also.
It goes after about 10/20 seconds or after I rev a couple of times but it didn't used to do this and I'm wary that it could be a big problem in the future...

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I've heard of this before, but with so many rattles in so many places I'm not 100% on this one

You'll need to do better than that.. Any chance of a video of the noise?

Funny enough my car is the same, 13 plate. The car is still in the garage and they have finnaly found the rattle coming from the turbo heat shield after checking the timing chain and alternator drive belt, if you're in warranty nothing to worry about. I think an OEM turbo is about £800.

I had the same on my 13 plate, took it in seems the timing chain was missing a link and stretched to the point of breaking.

Got my car back £1,700 of warranty work! Rattle seems to have finally gone, also they've fitted the new turbo model, a few extra sensors and shiny bits.

Going to take it this week to get it looked at then, better safe than sorry.

Apologies if this is a stupid question but I bought my car used last year and it's just passed the 3 year old mark last month... I take it warranty has ran out now and basically have to pay for any repairs myself?
There's no other options as I didn't get it direct from Citreon (from Arnold Clark).

Correct, you can get extenders warranty through Citroen. As I have done so.

Right, managed to get a video, it sounds much more clearer in person but you can hear it when I'm revving but then it stops just gone half way through the video?
Any ideas?
