How to fit side lights

Hi

Just a quick question. I need to fit two new side lights. Getting the fittings out of the car is easy. The bulbs which are really small seem stuck in the metal holding.
Is there an easy way to get them out or do I need to buy the small bulb with the metal fitting already in place?

Channel your inner caveman and pull the bulb harder.

Ok will do, I was just worried I would break the metal holder, or the bulb and end up with half of it stuck in the unit.

Nope, shouldn't happen....

I've changed mine a couple of times, as cyclone said above, pull harder
