engine management light

Hi can any one help I have a ds3 ehdi 90 the problem is the engine management light comes on with no loss of power, disconnected the battery and problem cleared any ideals what could be causing this many thanks

Have the stored fault codes read, no way to even guess without that.

Hi thanks,I have a code reader tool but when I plugged it there where no codes showing so I just opened the bonnet and disconnected the battery and pulled a few sensor plugs really connected the battery turned the key restarted car and light had gone out

There are a couple of "levels" for the codes bet if it was hooked up to a factory diagnostic box the code would show. But honestly I would wait to see if it comes back before doing anything.

I had this problem same engine as yours.i had a couple of codes which I cleared with torque pro but light kept coming back.
Dealer cleared the codes and no problems since.
The dealer told me that the car can sometimes throw up a light for no reason.
