  • Rear parcel shelf.

    Afternoon all,

sorry if its been done before but had a quick look around fab website, but nobody seems to be having the trouble I am having with my rear.....parcel shelf!

    Anybody suffering the same problem?

It seems to be really loose on the pegs(not long enough) or the shelf is too narrow and falls off.
    Quality control?

Anyway, any suggestions or solutions will be tried.

    regards

There is a 2 piece plastic part that fits onto each side of the parcel shelf. Are they still there? The pegs are part of the trim and not replaceable individually, would need a hole new top trim piece. For comparison the pegs are about 2cm long.

Good morning Cyclone, thanks for prompt reply.
I dont think anythings broke/missing......but it unclips REALLY easy.
Any slight knock when putting stuff in/out of boot!
Seems the shelf doesn't quite fit properly
Had it from new and always bn same......should have sorted earlier!!!

My shelf lifts off the pegs if I catch it when taking large items out of the boot but other than that it stays where it should for the rest of the time.

          Mines the same .
Every time I get something large out of the boot it ends up hanging in the boot from the strings.
Sits fine and no rattles when in place. I wouldn't worry about it

I've put a couple of wraps of black insulation tape around the pegs makes it a bit of a snugger fit prevents the shelf coming off so often or rattling.

I was planning to do your trick with the tape Markymark but it seems to have settled down now, either that or I'm more careful

                      Evening all,
1st Markymark done the tape thing and it seems to have done the trick!
Also put a black plastic tie wrap round the peg(1 each side) to act as spacers to keep the shelf "in the middle" of the 2 pegs
Fits better and no rattling or is that my imagination?
Will keep an eye on it and report back.

2nd WTF where to get the Tapatalk app please?

                      Thanks

In your app store Search in the the store for tapatalk. Depends on which phone you have.

                        I have android, so via the play store it's this;
