  • Parking assist faulty ?

    Hey guys,

Unfortunately my DS3 has another problem, it's certainly been a bumpy ride since buying it
It comes up with parking assist faulty whenever I put the car in reverse, the service light comes on at the exact same time. Any body got any ideas??
I've cleaned all the sensors, checked the connectors at the back and checked the fuse and all seem OK.

By pure chance my sisters new corsa broke down so I had to pick her and the RAC man up from Vauxhall and drop them back to his van, I had a police word and he stuck his computer in and nothing showed up really

Unfortunately the car is out of warranty and if possible I'm trying to avoid taking it to main dealer as I'm a bit skint!

Does anybody know if I disconnect the sensors one by one if that would diagnose the fault? Or would it still flash up?

    Cheers in advance

    Aaron

I have the exact same thing, learnt to live without, as they were a luxury for me when I bought the car!

I've been told that a diagnostic should show up which sensor is playing up, but I am yet to have them sorted.

    Hope you get it sorted!

Have you managed to disable them at all or do you just put up with the fault message popping up?
I'm not bothered about having them, it's the wanting coming up that annoys me!

(I've already disabled parking assist in the menu but the fault still appears)
