  • What is this called?? (Plastic cover thingy)

    Hi All,

    I need to replace this black plastic / vinyl thing (Shown in attached image)... I'm having a problem finding it.

    This is becasue I don't know what the part is called.

    I want the sticky wrap stuff replaced

    Any ideas???

    Regular vinyl should be fine, I'd imagine if you popped into a dealership they'd be able to find and order the part for you in no time

      People next door to me are 3M official signage/vehicle peeps and he mentioned to me when i got mine that they have re-done a few of those "things" and they are cheap to do. You certainly wouldn't ask the dealership to do it!

                    Hello mjogreen....no... dont misunderstand ,
                    Its the vinyl on the door!
                    No damage to door/paint!
                    Water (jetwash?)got underneath I think.

                      I would say that whatever put the scratch marks leading into the vinyl is what peeled it up.

                              so does mine but I do not have 2 small scratches leading directly into creased torn area of the vinyl and the adhesive residue is also pulled up at exactly that spot as if something dragged across the paint and caught the edge of the vinyl pulling it up.
