  • Radio problems

    Hi.

Bought my DS3 last week and its been brilliant. Only problem is when i connect my Iphone to the car's radio it has a tendency to play what it wants. I have a play list on there with over 1000 songs
and when I play it only selects 10 of them, once that playlist runs out it starts playing the first in alphabetical order of my purchased list. Some times when I have skipped a song it will start playing another
set of songs, it has also started playing a podcast that's not even on the music app. And once when I selected a song it played a different one.

Has anyone else encountered anything like this or know how to fix it?

    Thanks.

Is this via aux or bluetooth?

      Its via the Aux.

Then the issue is more to do with the phone, the reason is that the AUX socket is basically an extension to the headphone socket and has no control over the device.

It also did it with a different model of iphone. And I don't have this problem when just playing the songs on the phone normally.

Strange, but I stand by what I said that there is nothing the AUX socket can do to influence your phone.

This. Sounds like user error or an issue with your phone.

like they said if the aux socket then it is not the car or is it the USB port that you mean?

At it's service today, I mentioned that our radio had completely cut out on a couple of journeys, nothing, not a sausage and according to the display it didn't even exist. The radio options were 'greyed out'. At the same time the bluetooth went up the swannee, and a few other times has randomly refused to connect to the phone (Sammy S5). They have done a software update today as apparently the radios are flaky and they have had a few DS' in with problems similar to both of ours. May be worth asking about the update?
