  • Auto folding mirror delete question?

Does anyone know if by getting Citroen to delete my auto folding mirrors when I lock the car, I will lose the ability to close them using the switch in the drivers door?

    Thanks.

There are three setting avaliable when programming them, fully auto, manual folding by the switch, an fully manual ie you have to fold them by hand.

Cheers. I am considering option 2 , manually by the switch, when the car is in to have the passenger side fixed.

I get the feeling that the fully auto option will just lead to more problems with wear further down the track?

Most of the time you don't need to have the mirrors folded at all. IMO.

          I'm curious, why is this?

I miss not having folding mirrors on my new car, why would you choose to disable them?

Now I have them I use them as a visual backup that I've locked my car.

You would still have folding mirrors......but only when you choose. I am not convinced that they will last when they are folding every time you open/lock the car.

Anyone have an idea how much Citroen would charge for the delete?

Mine worked perfectly several times every day for 3 years without an issue

I would be more worried about the DPF clogging than the stupid mirrors.
